Does anyone know if you can temporarily disable BYD communicating with and changing settings on the car? Kind of like my ability to decide if I will allow Apple to do a software update on my phone…

Take out the SIM card and turn off wifi so there is no connectivity.

Not sure why you would want to, but this will do it.

If you don't update the software I guess.

From what I recall, all OTA upgrades only proceed after you say "yes".

So, not allowing updates on your iPhone would stop Apple doing any changes to your phone? If that is the case then would be the same with BYD, isn't it?

Allow updates

These a legitimate reason why they do update

Safety and Security

Not advisable to disable on any products
