I’ve got a Tesla and BYD too. So the Tesla uses Bluetooth for the key (and the key card you weren’t carrying). The BYD doesn’t have a Bluetooth key. You can open the app and unlock/start the car, but it requires the phone and car to both have internet connectivity, so should really be used as a back...

Don’t tell me you didn’t know this before you purchased the car? It’s common knowledge and a basic attribute to know prior to purchase.

No damage. Regen would simply be limited/disabled and the friction brakes would apply instead.

The Atto 3 is what you are after.

The boot is still fairly small (no bigger than the Model 3) but the opening is larger so less awkward. The Model Y has a lot more room than both.

They should work fine. Mine does.

The Wall Connector can be configured through wifi to allow non-Teslas to charge. I suspect this setting needs to change.

Otherwise, are you positive it’s a Gen 3? Earlier models may not be compatible regardless of settings.

What is it that appeals to you about the Atto 3? There are plenty of other EV’s that might suit you better?

I’ve got 2 car seats in mine (one rear facing) and there is plenty of room in the back seat. Definitely would be a big step up from as ASX.

The boot is on the smaller side however. If you have a large pram then you might struggle to fit much more in there. We got a small pram which helps a lot.

I wouldn’t bother doing it monthly. I’m not sure if I’ll even bother doing it at all until the end of the lease.
