The Australian DOLPHIN 2023 version manual discusses the low-voltage 12 V battery separately and describes an intelligent battery top-up function. Therefore, “there is still plenty of charge in the traction battery” is not enough on its own to determine why the vehicle cannot be unlocked or started.
A help request can include the market and version, how long the vehicle has been parked, the traction battery SOC, the exact instrument-panel message, whether the key responds, and whether roadside assistance has been contacted. Don’t directly apply battery locations, types, or procedures from different markets or generations.
This is a compilation of information from an earlier version of the manual, not 2026 year failure statistics, and it does not treat any single cause as a confirmed diagnosis.
