The Australian SEALION 7 manual’s external power supply section lists a maximum of 3.3 kW and requires the vehicle SOC to be at least 15% before starting. The function is restricted when the battery is low. These specifications apply to this manual and do not mean all BYD external power supply equipment is the same.
For camping, you can start by adding up the rated power of the appliances you plan to use at the same time, then estimate energy consumption based on the expected duration, and reserve power for the return trip. A rated power list is only for planning; actual use is still subject to the limits of the equipment and vehicle.
Stop using the equipment if there is an unusual smell, smoke, or a damaged connector, and follow the manual. No claim is made here that the account has conducted real-world camping tests.
