ATTO 3 driver-assistance assessment has been updated: don't just spread 2024-year-old conclusions

Euro NCAP stated in 2025-09-24 that BYD had made improvements to the ATTO 3 driver assistance system: newer vehicles received a Good rating, older vehicles also benefited from improvements, and older cars need the corresponding software update.

The Not Recommended rating in 2024 was a historical result for a specific test vehicle and system configuration. Improvements in 2025 do not mean that “all ATTO 3 vehicles in all regions automatically upgrade to the same capabilities.” Confirm the model year, market, and software before citing a specific rating.

This type of Assisted Driving assessment is different from a five-star crash rating. The system is still an assisted driving system, and drivers must continue to pay attention to road conditions.
