Hi All. How does the atto fair in the recent rains in your area. I have heard that it's best not to drive in puddles of water that are more deep than a few inches , for fear of damage to the motor.. has this been the case ?

My wife got the car seriously bogged and I was impressed that the splash guards under the car kept the mud out of the engine bay.

Electric motors are entirely sealed and don’t require intake of air to function - propelling submarines under the ocean so puddles should be no problem for an EV.

From the manual. Don't enter water deeper than the lower edge of the vehicle, or half the tyre height.

Water up to the door sill is not what I would call a puddle!

I’m thinking not entering puddles deeper than the lower edge of the car or half wheel height would apply to most cars.

Felt it went great no issues. I just didn’t drive through the massive puddles near the side of the road. 😂😂😂 (unlike ICE car)
