Hi all. Getting my BYD Tuesday next week, then flying off interstate Wednesday to Monday. So the $64,000 question... do I leave it plugged in while I'm away?

I'm it's only driver and I'll only have granny charger for now. Obvs I don't know what SOC it will have when I get it. Cheers

You can leave it unplugged. If you're going away on longer trips, the manual recommends leaving it at less than 70% charge. (or is it 60%? Check the manual) less than three weeks, you can just leave the car unplugged.

I wouldn't, not on a granny charger at least & not for just a couple of days, it'll be fine.

Never leave anything charging unattended, ever.

Thanks all. I'll change it Tuesday overnight then leave it off charge while I'm away.

Just don't leave the key inside or within a few meters of the car. If you do, the car keeps talking to the key & that's what can drain ur 12v battery. Lock the car & keep key inside away from car
