Atto 3 owner in Australia here. Does anyone know if there's any easy way to bring up air conditioning settings on the screen whilst Android Auto is functioning? The only way I know how to do it is to select 'Mode' on the steering wheel which exits Android Auto and cuts off whatever music or podcast is playing. Super annoying.

Just talk to it. The air con settings will come along bottom if u touch them the aircon screen will come up

There is also a BYD app on the AA sidebar that takes you back to main menu but doesn't stop music playing.

I use the camera button on the steering wheel, it shows the aircon settings on the bottom of the screen.
